Ternstrom Consulting is based outside Stockholm, Sweden but works in large parts of the world. Countries covered range from Norway in the north to South Africa in the south, and from Fiji in the Pacific to Haiti in the Caribbean.
We have a small permanent staff and a large network of trusted colleagues across the globe. This makes us flexible and able to accept both small and large assignments, a mix that keeps us close to the ground yet allows us to influence at higher levels.
Ternstrom Consulting is a family-run company, founded in 1999 by Björn Ternström. In 2010, Ingela Ternström joined the company full-time, making it possible to take on larger and methodologically more challenging assignments.
Björn Ternström has a MSc in Economics from Stockholm School of Economics, and is a Graduate of the Gestalt International Training Programme. Björn has extensive experience from both implementing, managing and evaluating humanitarian and development aid. He is also a skilled organisational development practitioner, coach and facilitator and whenever there is opportunity, he likes to mix these areas of competence.
Ingela Ternström has a Masters and a PhD in Economics from Stockholm School of Economics. Her studies focused on the intersection of Environmental, Institutional and Development Economics, with research on local natural resource management. In addition to research and development work in Nepal, Ingela has extensive experience from civil society, both as member, founder or board member of several CBOs and from a substantial number of evaluations.
